We are located in Bruton Somerset and own fields that we walk your dogs in, our kennels also house our own family's ducks, goats and chickens (we do not board other peoples ducks and goats).

Our main aim is to have happy, healthy Dogs, we always remind our selves and staff to treat all our guests no less than we would our own pets.

We live at the property and we are happy to allow you to inspect our Kennels. We always suggest to look at another Kennels (not on the same day) as we are so confident that we have made a lovely environment with very high standards.

Boarding Pricing

DOGS

One dog £20.00 per day   
Two dogs sharing £30.00 per day  

Additional sharing dogs will be charged at half the single dog day rate.

Please Note

Boarding fees are calculated per day this includes arrival and departure days.
Full payment is due in cash, by cheque or through BACS Payment (please email for details) Sorry but we do not accept payment by card. Additional costs incurred, if any, including veterinary fees must be settled.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New year’s Day will be charged at Double Rate.

Booking
Please phone or email with the dates you would like to reserve, and to check on availability. During busy times the answerphone will be on but please do leave a message and we will return your call ASAP. Please book well in advance of your holiday to avoid disappointment as we book up very quickly, especially in the school holidays.
You are most welcome to come and have a look around. We like to have viewings between 11.30am - 12.45pm any day. This fits in around our guest, who’s needs must come first. Please phone to arrange a day that would suit you.

​Check list of things to bring with you on your arrival day
1. Current proof of disease protection. Must be shown on each visit.
2. Contact information of an emergency contact- an email, phone number and name are essential.
3. Blanket and any toys.
4. Any medication. These must be in a labelled container and have written instructions with them.
5. Bring your pets food in a suitable container with a measure and feeding instructions.
6. Please inform your vets that your pet will be staying with us during the booking dates and that we can act on your behalf.

Why choose to board your dog with Farringford?

Vet on call 24 hours a day
All kennels are thermostatically heated all year round, fully roofed outside runs with plenty of light and ventilation. All kennels are secure.
All kennels have a raised bed & bedding for sleeping.
All kennels are disinfected on a daily basis and are regularly checked for cleanliness
All food bowls are sterilised daily
Night time checks
New boarders taken for a walk on introduction to the kennels
All dogs have a minimum of two walks in our field per day.
All dogs are walked minimum of twice a day around our large landscaped field, family groups and those who have excessive energy can be exercised off lead, if well trained. We can also cater for bitches in season.
If you have more than one dog they can stay together if requested, however we never double up dogs from different families in the same kennel.

T's and C's

If an emergency arises that requires a vet, we will take your Pet to Delaware Vets in Castle Cary
One day's boarding fee is charged for the day that your dog/cat comes in and for the day that they depart. During peak periods e.g. Christmas a non-refundable deposit may be required.

Late deliveries / early collections will be charged to the original dates booked.  

Additional charges may be made when extra heating is required and / or where special attention is required due to a medical condition, old age or infirmity and / or where additional food or nutrients are required.

A discount is given where more than one dog / cat from the same family share a kennel or cabin, it is not our policy to allow dogs / cats from different families to share the same accommodation.

Our terms are strictly cash, cheque or direct payment. Please note that we do not accept debit or credit cards. Full payment is to be made at the start of your pets stay. Any cost incurred by us, due to returned payments, will be added to the outstanding invoice along with an admin fee of £10.00 Inc.

We regret that we will not release animals until full payment has been made in accordance with these terms.

The following terms and conditions are in the interest of your animal(s) and others boarding with us:

All dogs and cats must have protection against disease please bring documentation on every visit.

With regards to Kennel Cough vaccination, we do not insist on it. If you prefer to have it administered please make sure it is 7 to 10 days prior to boarding. 

We reserve the right to refuse to board any dog or cat that we consider to be vicious, sick, too old or infirm for any reason that might in our opinion cause suffering to the animal concerned, the other animals boarded with us, or be detrimental to the health and safety of our staff and ourselves.

As an additional safeguard against possible infection, we do not accept animals that have boarded at other Kennels or Catteries within 14 days prior to being boarded with us.

Please respect our opening hours and will not accept or release animals outside of these hours.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion without prior notice.
